… a woman decides to stay…
“Fin d’ete (End of Summer)” is beautiful and very atmospheric animation from Patrick Harboun, Ronan Le Fur and Joaquim Montserrat – three French students from animation school Supinfocom. You can find a lot of information about this animation and its creation at www.findete.com.

Impressive, realy impressive! Not so often students tend to do realistic 3D but it has its own cause of course. So, VideoDoc advises:

  • use proper cameras. Cameras in this video was smooth, slowly moving. This helps keep focus on character, his feelings, face in that case, allows to predict, guess what caracter is feeling before unknown coming storm. Does hand held action camera would properly deliver atmosphere in this case?

So much for a students! Great atmosphere. This time VideoDoc let video speak for itself!

A History Of Evil

February 23, 2008 Leave a comment

Animated Documentary-Mockumentary about Evil in western civilization from Ancient Greece to present day. The film was intended to show what people have believed in and pointed to as evil throughout history, to get you to think about what evil really is and to show that when we get too obsessed with “evil” we might end up taking part in it ourselves.
This is a student project, animated frame by frame in flash and composited and textured in AfterEffects.

Authors said pretty much and detailed about project by their own. VideoDoc this time just want to point out key moments:

  •  Simple Animation. This time simple 2D Flash animation comes very, very handy. When you want to express, reveal some nowadays human or even society’s temper give a try to simplicity. And try to connect simple 2D with funny, humorous caricature-like drawings and people will like it and take a watch so chances your message get to them rises.  Of course, it is not the only way 🙂
  • Tell Your Story. Don’t be afraid of people hearing your voice!  Help picture to send message. Here one man done voice records and here it worked well! You don’t have to be voice actor, you can do it by yourself! Take a paper if what, no one will see from other side of your monitor that you are reading your message.

VideoDoc is sure that people aren’t evil by nature and we can work out changes in our attitude, behavior and belief systems to positive. While it’s true not only Western civilization but whole humanity has a hope for bright and interesting future
